What are you most excited about when it comes to playing in college?

I am most excited to be able to prove to my coaches and myself that I should be playing at this level. I am also excited to travel with the team to other states to play other teams

Advice for aspiring college players:

If you want to play at the college level you need to always be putting in the extra work. Just playing during the season is not going to be enough. You need to constantly be finding ways to make yourself better.

What motivates you to keep working?

What motivates me to keep working is being the best there is in my position. I also keep working because I don’t want to let down all of the people who have invested their time in me.

What do you do to get ready for a game?

It depends on the day. Sometimes I listen to metal and other days I listen to party music

Interesting Fact:

Isaac and his roommate and fellow NNU athlete Carter Steadman have a podcast on Spotify and YouTube

What is he looking forward to this season? I am looking forward to being able to compete at this level. Getting pushed like I have not before and improving any way I can.

Advice for aspiring players: Put in work off the field. Hit the wall, go on a job, bike ride, anything that gets your heart rate up. To push yourself past what you think you are capable of. Don’t let anyone get in your head.

What keeps you motivated to keep working? Being pushed by my teammates and competing for spots is motivating in and of itself. Additionally, trying to improve myself more and be better than I was the week before is motivation too.

What gets you ready for the game? I listen to music, anything with a fast beat and a lot of base.

Kale Lanza

Advice for aspiring players: Being a collegiate athlete is nothing short of amazing; however, your passion for athletics (lacrosse) will be measured and tested greatly at some point. Develop a “why” for yourself that can endure hardship and time.

What motivates you to keep working? Understanding there is a lot to life that I have barely scratched the surface of.
